Purpose of Workgroup
The purpose of this workgroup is to research, conduct, and implement a network-wide, coordinated, consistent, and applicable professional learning process that aligns with BEESS Initiatives in the area of Differentiated Instruction. This group has collaborating members from FDLRS and FIN.

Progress to Date
May, 2007
The group met for the first time to begin to develop a Continuum of Differentiated Instruction. Categories include awareness, introduction, implementation and follow-up. Topics include Planning for Meaningful Differentiated Instruction (KUD), Assessment, Tiered Lessons, and Parallel Curriculum.
February, 2008
This group planned and delivered the Introduction to Differentiated Instruction, Level One, Facilitator professional learning in Lakeland, FL. Forty-seven participants and four presenters attended the training.
September 25, 2008
The entire workgroup met in St. Pete Beach, FL during the FDLRS HRD Fall Meeting. They recruited new members and created an action plan.
October, 2008
The Wikispace was created and files were uploaded.
March, 2009
A second professional learning opportunity is being planned for March, 2009. The focus will be on Level Two, Formative Assessment in the Differentiated Classroom. Check back for more information.
